One phrase here at NuVasive that you’ll hear a lot is our “attitude of gratitude” spirit. It is a fundamental value of our company culture and is what motivates us each and every day. This spirit shows itself in many different ways and one demonstration of this is our involvement in the annual Padres Pedal the Cause event.
For the second year, NuVasive is proud to be a corporate sponsor for Padres Pedal the Cause and thrilled to have a team of riders and volunteers participate in the two-day cycling fundraiser on November 11-12, 2017. Padres Pedal the Cause is committed to creating a world without cancer and has raised more than $4.75 million with 100% of the proceeds funding cancer research in our San Diego community.
This year, NuVasive is the sole sponsor of the 25-mile course across the iconic Coronado Bay Bridge, giving riders a remarkable opportunity to experience the incredible view while pedaling for the cause. The skills and effort of our team and their Cheetah pride will be on full display at this part of the course, as well as any of the other seven courses across the city. The courses vary in cycling skill levels and course length, over the two-day event.
In 2016, Team NuVasive was comprised of 25 dedicated riders that personally raised over $47,000 for the cause. It was an incredible experience to ride and raise money for such an important cause close to the hearts of many here at NuVasive.
