Cervical disc replacement is a surgical treatment option for degenerated or damaged disc(s) in the neck. The procedure is designed to reduce or alleviate the symptoms, while maintaining motion at the treated segment.
Am I a candidate for Total Cervical Disc Replacement (cTDR)?
Cervical degenerative disc disease occurs when one or more of the discs between the vertebrae (the small bones that form the spinal column) begin to wear, which may cause pain, tingling, numbness, and/or weakness in the neck and arms.

The Simplify Cervical Disc is composed of two PEEK (medical-grade plastic) endplates and a ceramic core. There is no nickel or any metal on the articulating surfaces- it is designed for: durability, longevity, and to eliminate metal-wear.
The materials of the Simplify Cervical Disc allow for use of MRIs*. In addition to being surgeons’ preferred imaging method for the spine, MRI does not expose patients to radiation.
