At NuVasive, we remain committed to investing in the skill set of our Veteran community. Our Talent Acquisition team recently hosted the Company’s second Veterans Coalition event at our San Diego headquarters. More than 20 Veterans from across Southern California came to learn more about our company, key initiatives, technology, and career opportunities. They had the opportunity to hear from NuVasive leaders, make connections with Veteran Shareowners, and tour the campus.
The event started off with an introduction from President Matt Link. Matt gave the attendees a greater understanding of the history of NuVasive, our technology, and our culture. They also heard from Larry Lacefield, operations leader for NuVasive Clinical Services, and learned how he transitioned to the corporate world following his career in the United States Navy.
The group later took a tour of our onsite cadaver lab guided by Elliott Bosslet, Clinical Professional Development leader. After the tour, the group came back for a presentation about NSO technology and career opportunities led by Everett Van Zuiden, senior manager of NSO development, and Mike Moeller, leader of NSO R&D and Operations.
Following the presentations, Lucas Vitale, chief human resources officer, kicked off the networking session. Attendees were able to connect with Veteran Shareowners, hiring managers, and recruiters to learn more about general careers opportunities and what the transition to NuVasive was like.
