We recently held our annual MAGEC® Users Meeting here in Coronado, CA, coinciding with the 11th annual International Congress on Early Onset Scoliosis (ICEOS) meeting. The MAGEC Users Meeting highlighted our innovative MAGEC system that is transforming the lives of children suffering from early-onset scoliosis (EOS). The MAGEC System features magnetically controlled growing rods designed to help avoid planned distraction surgeries from the treatment for EOS.
At the MAGEC Users Meeting, discussion topics included the latest updates to MAGEC technology, challenging cases, operative technical considerations and the future of magnetic technology. The event was co-chaired by Burt Yaszay, MD, Gregory Mundis, MD, and honorary chairman, Behrooz Akbarnia, MD, and featured 15 prominent pediatric faculty members from around the globe. The event hosted over 100 pediatric surgeons and medical professionals hoping to expand their knowledge and improve their care using the MAGEC system.
