- Increased cleaning in work spaces and common areas
- PPE and proper utilization training provided for required roles
- Employee health protocols: Mandatory quarantine if feeling sick (72-hours symptom free and 10 days after illness began) or 14-day quarantine if any potential exposure to a COVID-19 case
Note: All employees must clear internal protocols if returning to work following quarantine
What we are doing for our customer-facing teams:
Mandatory trainings on OR and hospital protocols
- Key steps in worker protection and infection control
- Methods to prevent exposure in the workplace and prevent bringing home
- Review of available NuVasive resources for COVID-19
Offering mental health trainings
- Identifying the typical reactions to anxiety and high stress
- Recognizing the negative implications of social isolation
- Ways to support yourself during this time
- Ideas to stay strong, active, neighborly and energetic
What we are doing for field operations:
- Employees who are not required to interact with product and equipment are working from home
- Employees handling product and equipment have staggered shifts to support social distancing
- PPE is provided for personnel in contact with product and equipment
- Implemented continuous monitoring to maintain compliance with both government and local hospital mandates
What we are doing for manufacturing and operations:
- Face coverings required
- Social distancing required
- Reduced number of employees per shift to only those required for essential operations
- Temperature checks required before entering work building for required employees and pre-cleared visitors
- Altered common and working spaces to enable social distancing, including installed plexiglass between work stations
